Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Closed for the Fifth Day

The cool temperatures continue in the Orlando area, which means that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is closed for the fifth day in a row. The last day that it was open was Friday, February 4. The Water Park will remain closed on Thursday, February 10 as well.

The temperature will rise on February 11. At this time, there is a good chance that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will open again on Friday. A reminder, Disney Park Pass Reservations are not required for the Water Parks.

Aquatica Orlando, SeaWorld’s Water Park, is also closed on Wednesday, February 9. The hours listed for February 10 are 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This could change, so check to make sure that it is open before heading that way.

Universal’s Volcano Bay is closed on Wednesday, February 9. The Water Park is currently closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but that will change on Tuesday, February 22. After that date Volcano Bay will then be open seven days a week, weather permitting.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for its annual refurbishment. No reopening date has yet been announced, although the refurbishment historically wraps up in the middle of March. Since it started later than normal this year, it could reopen later.
The ten day forecast calls for the high temperatures in the Orlando area to climb into the mid to upper 70s on Friday and Saturday. It will then drop again on Sunday, February 13. That will be the first of three days with a high in the 60s, which means that more Water Park closures could be on the way.

While it may be too cold to spend a day at a Water Park, the weather is near perfect if you are visiting any of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. The extended forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, and except for a possibility of showers on Sunday morning there is a low chance of precipitation.
