Top 8 Treats We Love at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor At Disneyland

No trip to Disneyland is complete without a visit to the classic Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This adorable snack stop can be found on Main Street, U.S.A., and simply couldn’t be cuter. The turn-of-the-century theming offers an air of nostalgia that nobody can resist, and the tasty treats they serve are pretty irresistible as well.

Obviously, this is a must-try eatery on your next Disneyland trip. However, many people are left wondering what they should order when they stop in. Below is a list of our eight favorite treats found at Gibson Girl.

8. Peanut-Dipped Cones

A classic ice cream cone is tasty, but a quick dip in chocolate and a few peanuts make that traditional waffle cone an even more decadent dessert. Top your chocolate-dipped, peanut-covered cone with your favorite flavor of ice cream, and you will likely be in heaven. These are especially good with ice cream that contains chocolate in any form. Luckily, there are a few such flavors on the menu at this location.

7. Sprinkle Cones

Of course, if you aren’t a fan of peanuts, the peanut-dipped cone may not be the thing for you. Why not opt for a chocolate-dipped, sprinkle-covered affair instead? The sprinkle cones at Gibson Girl go great with any ice cream flavor and make a special treat even more special. These are a favorite of kids of all ages.

6. Delicious Floats

Ice cream floats are always a good option. This is especially true on the hottest of hot Southern California days when the sun starts to melt your ice cream the second it’s pulled from the freezer. On these days, a float is a mess-free way to curb your ice cream cravings and quench your thirst. Choose from root beer, orange soda, or Coca-Cola. If you’re feeling really crazy, trade out the vanilla ice cream for another flavor. You might be surprised just how delicious cookie dough can be when mixed with root beer.

5. Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Fudge Sundae

The chocolate chip cookie sundae is a Gibson Girl specialty and a chocolate lover’s dream come true. Two chocolate chip cookies, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, a generous helping of hot fudge, and of course, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Who can resist? We know we can’t!

4. Firehouse Dalmatian Mint Sundae

Mint and chocolate are two flavors that were made for each other. Nothing makes this more apparent than the Firehouse Dalmatian Sundae from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This tasty treat includes mint chocolate chip ice cream, hot fudge, and that famed whipped cream and cherry topping. We have yet to figure out where the sundae got its name, but we suppose it doesn’t need to make sense when it is so very delicious.

3. Strawberry Street Car Sundae

Those who love strawberries and the color pink will appreciate this fruity yet creamy dessert. The Strawberry Street Car Sundae is starts with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, these are topped with strawberry sauce and then whipped cream and a cherry. Want to make the concoction even more amazing? Consider swapping the plain old vanilla ice cream for a couple scoops of the strawberry.

2. Handmade Waffle Bowls

All those sundaes we mentioned above? Each and every one is served up in a house-made waffle bowl that is too amazing for words. While a waffle bowl might seem simple enough, we could easily eat one of these without any ice cream at all and still get a good bit of enjoyment out of it. Best of all, the smell of these bowls being made is incredible and it wafts down the street, making the whole place smell wonderful.

1. Seasonal Treats

No good Disney eatery skips out on holidays and celebrations. Therefore, you can count on Gibson Girl putting out some superb special event ice cream concoctions throughout the year. The peppermint ice cream offered during the winter holidays is a good example of this, and is definitely something to look forward to. Another great special event treat were the anniversary cookie ice cream sandwiches that everyone adored. Be sure to see if the parlor is offering anything special during your next visit.

If this list doesn’t make you crave a trip to the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, we don’t know what will. In fact, we’ve made ourselves want one of these amazing treats. Hope you get to visit Disneyland soon and curb your craving! See you there!
