Why You Should Consider Becoming a D23 Gold Member

D23 is the Official Fan Club for all things Disney. It is a great source of information. If you are reading this, you must love Disney as much as we do. That is why you might want to consider becoming a D23 Member!

There is a General Membership to D23 that will not cost you anything. This is good for the contests that are offered throughout the year. For the contests, you will not be able to enter unless you are at least a General Member.

If you want more out of D23 than just to enter contests, you should consider a Gold Membership. There are extra benefits, and a fantastic membership Collector’s Set.

We’ll start with that Collector’s Set. There is a new one each calendar year. The theme of the 2022 Collector’s Set is Around the World of Disney Parks. There are several Theme Park related pins, a Mickey Aviator Pin, a luggage tag, and a Disney Passport. The Collector’s Setis sent to all new and renewing Gold Members.

Gold Members also receive a Membership Card and certificate. They will receive four issues of ‘Disney twenty-three’ as well, which is a coffee table quality publication loaded with information and gorgeous pictures.

Another benefit of being a Gold Member is that you will receive discounts. One of the largest is for tickets to the D23 Expo. There are also special events that Gold Members can sign up for.

There are two categories of D23 Gold Membership. The first is the Individual Plan. You will receive all of the above, and if you attend an event you can bring one Guest with you. The cost of the Individual Plan is $99.99 a year.

The second category of Gold Membership is the Duo Plan. You will receive one Collector Set and one subscription to ‘Disney twenty-three’. The rest of it is doubled. The Duo Plan costs $129.99 a year.

You will need to sign up with a credit or debit card, and your D23 Gold Membership will automatically renew. If you don’t want to be charged for another year, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

Paula K

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH, and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married, and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010, we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the Parks. Under the name Paula Brown, I penned the novels 'Dream Wanderers' and 'The Coffee Cruiser'. I also am a co-author of 'Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide'. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida.
