8. The Monte Cristo Sandwich from The Blue Bayou
The Blue Bayou is an experience unlike any other at Disneyland. This restaurant is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and is the definition of themed dining. While you fill up your tummies, you can watch the ride float by in a complete New Orleans Bayou setting. The lights are dimmed, there are fireflies hung around you and the sounds of crickets linger. However the Monte Cristo Sandwich is the star of the show. This dish is the perfect combination of turkey, ham and swiss cheese that has been battered and fried into melty, crispy perfection. A sweet touch to this sandwich is the berry jam they supply for dipping. Skeptical at first, I soon realized this is a perfect addition to the dish. Warning, this sandwich is only available for lunch at the Blue Bayou, but can also be found at Cafe Orleans for lunch and dinner. Photo credit D23
