6. Mid-January through February
With the exception of MLK Day, President’s Day, and the very first week of January, the first two months of the year tend to be a great time to visit the parks. The holiday crowds are gone during this time, and the spring break visitors have yet to arrive, leaving the park all but empty on some weekday mornings. While the mornings and evenings will be chilly during these months, the weather tends to warm to a comfortable temperature for the late morning hours and stay that way until sunset.
