Changes are happening across Disney’s flagship theme park resort in Orlando, Central Florida. There are major overhauls, such as the transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Frontierland in Magic Kingdom Park, as well as operational-based adjustments, including pricing, menus, and accessibility.

One more recent update that is becoming more and more common is the introduction of cashless locations across vendors in the parks. So far, dining carts and other small vendors in parks like Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios have introduced cashless payments only.

Now, one of the Magic Kingdom theme park’s most popular and beloved food carts has also commenced a cashless system. Located in the Cinderella Castle forecourt area of the Magic Kingdom park, the Spring Roll cart is a fan-favorite among Disney park guests.

Known for its famous cheeseburger spring rolls and a rotating menu of seasonal specials, the Spring Roll Cart is often one of the busiest places to grab a snack at Disney World’s most visited theme park. While the Spring Roll Cart does not have a fixed opening and closing period, planDisney did explain when guests can enjoy the savory snacks while visiting the park.

“The Spring Roll Cart typically opens around 11:00 a.m.. It does not have a fixed closing time; it remains open until the spring rolls are sold out for the day,” planDisney wrote in August 2025. “This usually occurs between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., but can vary depending on demand and park attendance.”

“Since the cart often sells out before the park closes, I would advise [visiting] earlier in the day, ideally before 4:00 p.m.,” the support network added. “Currently, the Spring Roll Cart does not support mobile ordering, so be prepared to wait in line.”

Now, it has been confirmed by Kenny the Pirate that the Spring Roll Cart in Magic Kingdom is now operating a cashless payment system.

“At first, there were only a handful of locations affected, but on a recent trip, we saw multiple food stands warning guests that they are now a ‘Cashless Location’,” the outlet noted.

“Sadly, the Spring Roll Cart has now been added to the growing list of ‘Cashless Locations’. Although this did not seem to detract guests. Throughout the day, the line at the Spring Roll Cart was wrapped towards the hub of the Cinderella Castle Hub,” they explained.

Going cashless will not be a problem for most, especially for these smaller vendor locations. However, does the increasing number of places only accepting digital payment methods signal a long-term plan to make the entire Walt Disney World Resort cash-free?
