Major Disney World Event Would Ban Kids From EPCOT

Guests heading to Disney World can visit all the different Disney Parks. Guests tend to go to Walt Disney World Resort for vacation and to get away from the traffic in life. Guests tend to bring families of all ages, from newborns to 100-year-old guests, to experience the wonders of Disney magic.

The heart of Walt Disney World is the Magic Kingdom, a timeless and iconic park where Cinderella Castle is the focal point. Here, Disney World guests are transported into a fantasy world where they can meet beloved Disney characters, enjoy thrilling rides like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and witness enchanting parades and fireworks displays that bring classic stories to life.

EPCOT, another of the four major theme parks, is a celebration of human achievement and cultural diversity. It has four distinct sections: World Discovery, World Nature, World Showcase, and World Celebration. Each neighborhood offers attractions that explore technology, science, and environmental conservation. World Showcase, on the other hand, presents a unique opportunity to explore 11 pavilions representing different countries, each offering cuisine, entertainment, and a glimpse into their culture.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios immerses visitors in the world of movies and entertainment. With attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Mania, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, and the thrilling Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, this park brings the magic of cinema to life, allowing guests to be a part of their favorite movie scenes.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the fourth theme park at Walt Disney World and is a celebration of nature, wildlife, and adventure. It features attractions such as Expedition Everest and Avatar: Flight of Passage, as well as an expansive safari experience that lets visitors encounter real animals in a breathtaking environment.

Some Disney World guests think there should be an adult-only event. While it might appeal to a certain demographic, it would represent a significant departure from the resort’s family-friendly identity and business model. Disney has always positioned itself as a place for families to come together and create cherished memories, and it has traditionally focused on accommodating guests of all ages.

In a social media post, one guest talks about how they would love to have an adult-only event at EPCOT. Guests over 21 tend to go to EPCOT to “drink around the world.” Drinking around the world is when Disney guests stop at each location on the World Showcase.

“That i might [spend] money on…. especially at Epcot. I would be more pro drink around the world if it was adult only,” they said.

Another guest talked about Disney Resorts and feels like the Riviera is the best for adults looking for a quiet location. Disney’s Riviera Resort offers a rooftop dining option, and guests can use easy access to the Skyliner.

“I feel like Riviera is as kid-less you’re going to get on property when it comes to non-Swan/Dolphin. Are kids at Riviera, of course – but the resort is definitely catered to couples and adults in many ways,” they shared. “Additionally, Riviera’s room count is so stinking small (300) even if every room had a kid in it you wouldn’t be overrun. I find people with kids are using Riviera to sleep and jump on the skyliner for ease of access, while adults are at Bar Riva day drinking and spending late nights at Topolino’s.”
