Disney Changes the Game for Families at Its Most Popular Halloween Event in Orlando

Planning a night at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is one of those Disney vacation decisions that rewards guests who do their homework. The event runs on select nights from early August through Halloween. Tickets range from $119 to $229 per person, depending on the date, and the entertainment lineup is dense enough that walking into the party without a plan means missing things that would have made the night significantly better. For families with young children, especially, the difference between a well-planned party night and a chaotic one often comes down to knowing the showtimes before you arrive and building your evening around them rather than scrambling to find out where to be and when once you are already inside the park.

That planning just got a meaningful update for 2026, and if you are taking young trick-or-treaters to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year, there is a confirmed schedule change to the event’s most beloved parade that is going to make the night work significantly better for families with kids who are not built for late nights at theme parks.

Disney has confirmed select entertainment showtimes for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026, and the details around Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade in particular are worth knowing before you start mapping out your evening.

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade: The Kid-Friendly Time Change

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is the centerpiece of the entire event for a lot of families, and for good reason. The parade features Mickey, Minnie, and friends in Halloween costumes alongside waltzing ghosts, Disney Princesses, and a villain lineup that gives the whole thing an edge the standard Magic Kingdom parade experience lacks. Rare character appearances, including Pain and Panic and Vanellope, add the kind of surprises that loyal Disney fans specifically come to these after-hours events to find. The soundtrack is one of those infectious, catchy compositions that ends up stuck in guests’ heads for days after the party, which is either a gift or a curse, depending on your tolerance for earworms.

The parade runs twice each night. The second showing is confirmed for its traditional 11:15 p.m. start time, squarely in night owl territory and well-suited for guests who want to make the later hour work to their advantage, with thinner crowds along the parade route.

The first showing is confirmed for 8:15 p.m., and this is the one that matters most for families with young children. Back in 2024, Disney decided to shift the first parade to a sunset window, giving younger partygoers the opportunity to see the full parade experience before bedtime became a logistical reality. That change returns for 2026, and it is one of the more genuinely thoughtful scheduling decisions Disney has made for the party in recent years. The trade-off to know is that earlier times draw larger crowds, since there is no late-night advantage to positioning early. If seeing the Boo-To-You Parade at 8:15 p.m. is a priority for your family, arriving early and securing a spot along the route is a smarter move than assuming you can show up close to showtime and find a good viewing position.

The parade begins in Frontierland near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and makes its way down Main Street, U.S.A., toward the Fire Station. Guests who want to catch the pre-parade Max and the Powerline Party Pack offering need to be watching from Main Street, U.S.A., specifically, as that experience does not play out along the full parade route. Plan accordingly.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks: What to Know

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show is confirmed for its standard 10:00 p.m. timeslot and runs once per night. The show is visually exceptional, but it comes with a crowd-management consideration worth planning around. Projections cover Cinderella Castle during the performance, while a large-scale Jack Skellington presence anchors the forecourt stage, so the best viewing positions are in the hub area directly in front of the castle. That is also the most popular viewing area in the park, so arriving well ahead of the 10:00 p.m. start time is strongly recommended for guests who want a clear sightline.

What Is Still Coming This Halloween

Beyond the confirmed parade and fireworks times, the rest of the entertainment lineup for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 has not yet had official showtimes confirmed by Disney. The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show in front of Cinderella Castle is expected to return, along with Masquerade with Stitch, the Disney Jr. Jam Dance Party, Halloween in Storybook Circus, the Cadaver Dans, and the Rusty Cutlass Pirate Band. Official confirmation on those showtimes is expected ahead of the party’s start in August.
