What We Know About the Violent Incident That Brought Authorities to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A report of a battery brought law enforcement to Disney’s Hollywood Studios late Tuesday afternoon, and the picture that has emerged so far is sparse. Here is what the public scanner record does and doesn’t tell us about the call at Walt Disney World Resort‘s third theme park.

At 4:22 p.m. on October 27, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office took a 911 call describing “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors law enforcement activity around Walt Disney World Resort, posted the scanner entry on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/27/26 4:22 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The post includes a Google Maps image showing a marker on a roadway off World Drive that borders the park. Scanner entries for Disney’s Hollywood Studios regularly use those same coordinates, so the marker shouldn’t be read as the site of the incident. The source of the call is unknown.

The Open Questions

No one has said how many people were involved, whether they were cast members or guests, or whether anyone suffered serious injuries. Walt Disney World Resort and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office haven’t commented publicly. Disney seldom addresses law enforcement responses on its properties, so a company statement is unlikely.

More information may surface through published police reports or criminal charges, if any are filed. Either could clarify who was involved and how serious the altercation was.

The My Disney Experience app showed no operational disruptions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios following the report. The park continued to operate normally, and guests can continue with their vacation itineraries as planned.
