Filming a commercial or other promotional material in a crowded park is difficult to say the least. You never know who or what might end up on screen, and there is a ton of noise to filter out. Instead of attempting to fight a losing battle, Disney often chooses to shoot its commercials after closing in order to maintain complete control over what is seen in the background.
