6. Under the sea secrets
You will discover that there are several sunken treasures hidden within The Little Mermaid—Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction. For instance, this ride includes more than 180 animatronic creatures, from spinning starfish to other beloved underwater friends. But look closely during the part where Sebastian tells Ariel that life is the bubbles and you just may catch a glimpse of Mr. Limpet, the famed fish featured in Disney’s The Incredible Mr. Limpet from 1964. Also pay close attention to the relief carvings on the façade of the building and you will see all six of Ariel’s sisters (Arista, Aquata, Adella, Andrina, Alana, and Attina). Toward the end of the ride the cabinet with two cameos is a very subtle detail that pays homage to author Hans Christian Andersen, who wrote the original tale of the Little Mermaid.
