8 Things We Love About Mickey’s Toontown In Disneyland

Mickey's Toontown

There’s so much to do at the Disneyland Parks Resort that it can be hard to know where to begin your experience each time you visit. Which of the two parks should you start at on this visit? And once you decide that, then you’ve got to decide which attraction to experience first. Since you can’t go wrong—no matter how you enjoy the park—let me suggest a starting point at Disneyland Park that has something for every member of your traveling party—Mickey’s Toontown.

The story of Toontown goes way back to 1928, when Mickey first lived there. Mickey and his pals lived in Toontown for years until one day, Mr. Walt Disney visited with Mickey and shared his dream of building a theme park in the area where parents and children could experience the fun together. Mr. Disney and Mickey agreed that the park should be built around Toontown, but they wanted to keep quiet about Mickey and his pals living there. Years later, however, it was decided that all the fun of Mickey’s home and the homes of his pals should be shared with everyone. And that’s why today, you can tour the homes of several of your favorite Disney characters in Toontown.

Here are eight things we love about Toontown, and why you should visit on your next trip to Disneyland.
