5. Lovely Walks

Okay, so it may seem silly to take a long walk to the corner of the park just to walk some more, but trust us, this is easily one of the best places for a leisurely stroll in all of Disneyland.

The shade from the many trees makes even the Southern California heat bearable, and the adorable little animal huts and houses scattered throughout the land give you something interesting to watch for. Best of all, when compared to the rest of the park, this section is exceptionally peaceful, making it the place to go for an afternoon break from the hustle and bustle.

Be sure to stop and watch Splash Mountain plunge passengers into its waters, and wave to Pooh as you pass by!

4. Favorite Friends

Sometimes a friendly face is all a person wants to see. Fortunately, Critter Country offers just that. Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and the rest of the gang can be found on the fun yet gentle “Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” ride. This is the perfect ride for young children, but is also perfectly enjoyable for grown-up folks who are craving a bit of nostalgia.

Still want some more time with friends after the ride? Head on over to the Pooh and Friends meet-and-greet to grab an autograph, a hug, or just a friendly “hello”. No matter which you choose, you are sure to get that warm fuzzy feeling that only a good friend can bring on.

3. A Big Splash

One of the best parts of any Disneyland visit is riding all the classics. Whether you are riding for the first time or the hundredth time, these rides never lose their charm. One of those must-ride classics is the super fun, amazingly themed Splash Mountain. This ride truly couldn’t be any better, and is a much loved favorite of a great many Disney fans.

Bring a poncho if you don’t want to get wet, and be sure to strike a pose for the camera as you head downhill!

2. Canoe Adventures

Everyone has a little bit of adventure in their soul, and everyone loves a good boat ride. The Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are a great way to bring out your childlike sense of adventure while also becoming the captain of a boat of your own.

While these boats may not be the most popular ride around, they are worth a few minutes of your time. They are fun for kids of all ages, and the wait times are rarely very long. Besides, who can resist riding in their very own tiny canoe?

1. Unique Treats

Last on our list (but definitely not least) is the Hungry Bear Restaurant. This quick-service eatery is everything one could ever want from a Disney dining spot. A great location, good food, wonderful views, and fast service all come together to create a good, solid dining experience.

Best of all, this eatery serves up some unique treats that you won’t find anywhere else in the parks. Be sure to try one of their specially topped funnel cakes, a Blueberry-Honey Creme Pie, or a Honey Bee Frozen Lemonade. All are delicious Disney-caliber fare that you are sure to love.

As you can see, this tiny land is actually jam-packed with things to see and do. For this reason, we definitely recommend squeezing this section into your trip plans and making sure not to skip these five fabulous experiences. After all, no Disneyland trip is complete without good friends, adventure, treats, relaxation, and thrills. Critter Country gives you all of those things in one nice, neat little package.

So what are you waiting for? Pull out a pen and add this lovely little land to your plans. You can thank us later!
